Google's most anticipated smartphone, the Nexus 5 (2015), has been speculated by many to be released this coming October.

The software giant's latest Nexus smartphone model is the Nexus 6 which was released last November 2014 under the codename "Shamu". The Nexus 6 smartphone had recently become popular, offering buyers a 5.96 inch Quad High-Definition display screen and the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.

For the upcoming Nexus 5 (2015) smartphone, it is speculated that this phone will be launched alongside another new Nexus device. As a successor to the Nexus 5 (2013) smartphone, the Nexus 5 (2015) is expected to be in development by South Korean company LG Electronics, under the codename "LG Bullhead", while the other device is expected to be co-developed by Chinese telecom giant Huawei under the codename "Huawei Angler".

LG had developed Google's Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 devices in the past. On the other hand, it will be the first time for the Chinese telecom giant to develop a Nexus device alongside the search engine giant.

Since Google is also planning to launch its new Android M operating system within this year, it's expected that the new Nexus 5 will come with the new operating system.

Android Pit reported that the LG Angler will come with a 5.2 inch display screen and a Snapdragon 808 for its processor. The Huawei Bullhead will come with a 5.7 inch display screen and a Snapdragon 810 processor.

LG Angler will be powered by a 2,700 mAh battery, while Huawei Bullhead will have a 3,500 mAh battery. Another rumor that showed up earlier is the new Nexus 5's compatibility with Google's recently released wireless service, Project Fi. As of this time, only the Nexus 6 can work with Project Fi.

The exact date of the release hasn't been confirmed yet, but rumors say it's possible the new Nexus 5 (2015) will show up by the fourth quarter of this year, as Google is known for launching its new devices by this time.
