New details about the Nexus 5 2015 came flooding in, and the latest piece of information reveals that LG's version of the much-awaited handset will be formally unveiled in South Korea on Sept. 29. No release information was mentioned on the purported Huawei-made version.

However, based on the previous release dates of Nexus devices set by Google, this date is a bit too early. The software giant traditionally launches its new products under the Nexus brand in the second half of October.

In addition to the report, @onleaks also shared a photo of the LG Nexus 5 2015 showing its rear, with the same protruding camera that rumor mills have been claiming is being integrated into the device, and the flash next to it. Underneath the camera bump is the fingerprint sensor.

Notably, these were all shown in previous leaked images but this photo gives fans a much better look, as it also highlights an infrared focus assist light that helps users capture better photos. This sensor is seen next to the flash.

The rest of the specs tied to the LG-made Nexus 5 2015 include a 5.2-inch Full or Quad HD display and a USB Type-C connector. To power it up is a 64-bit hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, which is coupled with 3 GB of RAM. Other rumors say, however, the smartphone will instead get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 or the powerful and newer Snapdragon 810, which is used in many of the flagships recently released in the market.

The camera on the back is said to be at 13 megapixels and will offer optical image stabilization and laser autofocus.

Google has yet to confirm if Sept. 29 really is the date the rumored device will finally be revealed, and there's no word on when the Nexus 5 2015 from LG will be released in regions outside South Korea. There are also no details on the unveiling of the rumored larger 5.7-inch Huawei version.
