A brand new leak that sprung from an AnTuTu benchmark test has the tech world believing that the Nexus 5 2015 will be a flagship killer. In the said leak, the device, which Google has yet to announce, was second to none, garnering 85,530 points in the said benchmark test against other high-end smartphones.

What strikes as odd and surprising to media outlets is that the Nexus device surpassed the Samsung Galaxy S6 by almost 20,000 points, with the flagship from the South Korean tech company amassing only 68,157 points.

At the moment, the Galaxy S6 is reputed as the most powerful flagship around, making users question just what sort of processor the Nexus 5 2015 is harboring under its hood that helped it effortlessly outperform the current chart-topping smartphone.

This leads rumor mills to believe that this stellar display of performance from the upcoming Nexus smartphone is not the doing of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, which stands as the latest chipset of the company and is the unit used in most flagships.

It is thoroughly believed that only a next-gen chip could pull that off, which gives the impression that the Nexus 5 2015 might be drawing its power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, which is rumored to be made available later this year. The S6 has the Exynos 7420, the latest in its array.

In the same benchmark test, the Nexus 5 2015, which is reportedly being developed by LG, also outclassed the likes of Meizu MX4, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Asus ZenFone 2, OnePlus One, HTC One M8, Huawei Mate 7, and Xiaomi Mi 4.

The Nexus 5 2015 is purportedly sporting a 5-inch Full HD display, which, basing on the latest Nexus on the block that boasts Quad HD quality, is a downgrade. There are rumors that Huawei is developing another variant of the handset as well.
