The end of 2014 is fast approaching, making Android fans more excited to see if the rumored Nexus 6 will be unveiled soon.

For the past few months, rumors about the alleged Nexus 6 have been going around in the Internet. The device was also given different names, such as Nexus X as well as Motorola Shamu, but no additional information had been revealed so far.

Speculations about the release date of the Google-owned smartphone are piling up almost every day, and here are the latest rumors about it.

Load the Game mentioned that the Nexus 6 will be unveiled by Google and Motorola on Oct. 15, with the venue still undisclosed. The website also said that the new phone will have a remarkable resemblance to the Moto X 2014 but will be extremely different compared to the recent Nexus release, the LG Nexus 5 smartphone.

On the other hand, Expert Reviews said that the smartphone could also be released on Oct. 16. This report came from two unverified sources who shared to Android Authority that the big reveal could happen in one of these dates. Nexus 6 could come out with the rumored HTC Nexus 9 tablet as well as the supposed Android L operating system update.

The rumored Nexus 6 specs provided by GottaBe Mobile mentioned that the smartphone will feature a 5.92-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD display screen, a 2.7 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 805 CPU with built-in 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage, as well as the Android 5.0 "L Release" (64-bit support) OS. It will also have a 13-megapixel primary camera with OIS and a 2.1 MP front camera, a Ring Flash that was also seen in the earlier Moto X release, a Front Facing speaker, as well as an aluminum frame that looks almost exactly like the latest Moto X 2014.

However, both Google and Motorola still have to confirm all these reports.
