With Google's and Motorola's efforts, the successor to the Nexus 5 emerged, the Nexus 6. Meanwhile, LG is looking to continue branching its smartphone out to other categories with the release of the G Flex 2. The Nexus 6 might be a tad different from its competitor, but according to specifications, the performance title has already been awarded to the G Flex 2.

This is because while the Nexus 6 is equipped with a Snapdragon 805, the Snapdragon 810 SoC present inside the G Flex 2 would be facing "zero" competition. The processor inside the Snapdragon 810 chipset is also 64-bit capable, which is a characteristic that is void on the Snapdragon 805.

When compared to the original G Flex, LG has reduced the screen size on the G Flex 2 to 5.5 inches while bumping up the resolution to 1920 x 1080 pixels. The Nexus' screen size, meanwhile, is 5.96 inches and radiates a resolution of 1440p, something that does play well with the overall battery life of the device. The Nexus 6 is equipped with a 3220 mAh battery while the G Flex 2 carries a 3000 mAh battery. The Nexus 6 exceeds the LG G Flex 2 when its overall battery pack is concerned, but due to the Nexus 6's crisper resolution, the battery life will deplete faster than it will on the G Flex 2.

The Nexus 6 is available in 32 and 64 GB models and has 3 GB of RAM fitted in both models. Unfortunately, despite the fact that the Nexus 6 is being branded as a flagship device, it is still void of a microSD slot.

Apart from its curved body, the G Flex 2 is available in two capacity variants. However, the user should be informed that if they purchase the 16 GB version, they will only be entitled to 2 GB of RAM, while the 32 GB model will increase the overall RAM capacity to 3 GB. The storage capacity can also be expanded to a maximum of 128 GB.

Both device's camera sensors feature the same image resolution (13-megapixel rear and 2.1-megapixel front camera).
