The Google Nexus 6P is finally out, but it seems that the highly touted device is not spared from issues, at least for some users.

This has something to do with claims by users who bared through Reddit that the rear glass panel of the Google Nexus 6P has been cracking on its own.

For those who are unaware, the said glass panel is the one that covers the camera, LED flash, laser focus, and other sensors. Per claims, the glass has been spontaneously cracking on its own and without misuse.

This new issue follows earlier issues involving the device being bendable. While the Nexus 6P has been proven to be bendable, such has now taken a backseat (of sorts) with these claims that are mysteriously occurring for no known reason as we speak.

Right now, there is no clear answer to the whole issue, although some have pointed out that it may have something to do with the all-metal design of the said handset. Other than that, it could be tied up with temperature or elevation changes as well.

This is not the first time that a Google Nexus device has shown spontaneous cracking problems. The Google Nexus 4 had its share of such some years back, although it does seem a bit odd why other brands like Apple and HTC are not suffering the same plight.

The device is, of course, under warranty, but the cracking is really something that has to be explained. For now, it seems that only one new owner has come out so it will be interesting if other buyers would be experiencing (and sharing) the same thing.

According to the user who shared the experience, he simply placed the phone on a table after which he heard a glass snap.
It remains to be seen as well if Google could shed some light into this, unless, of course, the user did something before placing it on the table that may be accountable for the cracking.
