NFL teams are already screening and releasing their players to prepare their lineups for the upcoming training camps, and the Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs are among the teams who let go of their players.

The Titans released Tuesday running back Shonn Greene who has not joined the team during their voluntary organized team activities, ESPN reported.

Although according to ESPN, the 29-year-old was ready to report for the Titans' mandatory minicamp next week.

Greene came to Tennessee in 2013 signing a three-year, $10 million deal to work with current free agent running back Chris Johnson but was unable to contribute efficiently for the Titans.

The 65th overall pick in the 2009 NFL draft played 24 games in two seasons for the Titans and rushed 687 yards for six touchdowns.

Greene's departure will likely not hurt Tennessee since they have a number of running backs in their roster which includes 2015 fifth-round pick David Cobb, second-year players Bishop Sankey and Antonio Andrews and veteran Dexter McCluster.

Meanwhile, Chiefs wide receiver Da'Rick Rogers was released hours before the team began their mandatory minicamp, ESPN reported.

The 23-year-old was a former SEC standout and had a breakout year in 2011 with Tennessee having 67 passes for more than 1,000 yards scoring nine touchdowns.

Unfortunately, Tennessee kicked him out of the team following disciplinary issues prompting him to transfer to Tennessee Tech, ESPN added in the report.

Rogers was undrafted when he entered the NFL in 2013 and signed with the Buffalo Bills following an impressive showing at the 2013 NFL Combine but was released on August 2013.

He also had a chance with the Indianapolis Colts before signing with Kansas City on January 2015.

Unluckily, rookie wide receiver Chris Conley was doing very well this offseason prompting the Chiefs to release Rogers.

Along with Rogers, offensive lineman Kelvin Palmer who joined the team as a free agent was also released as they signed offensive lineman Tavon Rooks.
