The upcoming role-playing video game, "Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom" was announced in December of last year, officially giving the first game of the would-be franchise, "Ni No Kuni" its sequel after three years. According to the most recent rumors, the new title will be substantially better in all aspects when compared to the original localized version.

Speculations started surfacing several days back, primarily theorizing that the upcoming game will be providing fans of the series visibly improved gameplay and graphics, although it's so early to come up with potential changes that game developer Level-5 will be incorporating. The important thing is talks and discussions about it finally started appearing after a virtually lonely rumor mill for the past several months.

Polygon was the first to publish a report last year about the sequel, revealing that the announcement was made by Sony during PlayStation Experience 2015. As a matter of fact, a trailer was released at that keynote presentation.

To recall, the first game, "Ni No Kuni" was exclusively developed for the PlayStation 3 platform in 2013, through the efforts of Level-5 in partnership with a renowned animation company in Japan, Studio Ghibli. Although a Nintendo DS version of the game was later released, it wasn't made available in the United States.

Meanwhile, a recent report talked about the upcoming game's new feature called the Kingdom Creation System, which is responsible for transforming the game into something that's more than just the traditional role-playing video game title. This time, the new system incorporates much better gameplay, although it's pretty difficult to speculate right now as to what changes would be brought in.

The new game, "'Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom" has yet to be given an official release date as of this posting.
