Kevin Durant was sorely missed by the Oklahoma City Thunder during most parts of the 2014-15 NBA campaign due to injury but a consolation could be coming soon through his sneaker line.

Nike is reportedly all set to release their latest signature sneaker this month in the KD 8, the latest creation from the shoe company which will feature colors of the US flag (red, white and blue firework graphic) capped with a new upper material.

The KD 8 will be the first shoe to come out with Flyweave material, a cross between EM & Flyknit as described by WeTesters. The shoes are a product of the new lab testing made by Nike on different materials which include jacquard that stands to give shoe freaks a whole new kind of kicks to check out soon.

Rounding up the overall design of the KD 8 include a dark navy blue hue which perfectly bends and compliments the overall shoe design while a bright crimson outsole and black shoelace tops it all off.

At the top of the shoe is a metallic "KD" insignia which of is of course the signature for the shoe.

Other worthy things to note about the KD 8 include slight extensions of the mid and outsole at the back of the heel and the sole's forefoot design which took inspiration from a saber tooth tiger according to Sneaker News.

The KD 8 USA shoe is part of the NIKE Basketball 2015 USA pack which was apparently made with Independence Day declaration in mind. The date of its release will be on June 27 together with other shoes that make up the said collection.

The Nike KD 8 will retail for about $175 a pair and will be available from Nike.com and select Nike outlets.
