Nintendo amiibo Wave 4 preview: Robin, Lucina, Wario, Charizard, Ness, and Pac-Man characters

Super Smash Bros. Amiibo Wave 4 Nintendo

More amiibo figures are coming out soon and Amazon Japan page now lists the Wave 4 figures to be released within that region on April 29. Wave 4 will introduce Robin and Lucina ("Fire Emblem"), Wario ("Mario" series), Charizard ("Pokemon"), Ness ("Earthbound") and Pac-Man.

No official release date has been given for North America. The European release date of April 24 was leaked and cited by Design Trend although there is no confirmation coming from Nintendo regarding this schedule. It is very likely that North American gamers will get their hands on the Wave 4 amiibo set by May or early June.

While waiting for Wave 4, gamers and collectors can get the Wave 3 Mega-Man amiibo, which is now back in stock and can be purchased online via Amazon and Frys. As with all amiibo supplies, this may change quickly and Mega-Man may be out of stock by the time gamers read about it.

For those who really want to get their hands on "Super Smash Bros." Wave 4 amiibo sets, it is advised to pre-order as soon as possible. Amiibo sets disappear quickly and become out of stock weeks before they are made available again, and even then, they are sold out in just hours. Wave 3 Ike, for example, was out of stock just hours after it was announced.

Wal-Mart has also launched its own pre-order program for "Super Smash Bros" amiibo Wave 4 just this past weekend at 3 a.m. EST. Gamers who cannot avail of the upcoming amiibo sets via Amazon may want to visit their local Wal-Mart and inquire if the pre-order is still available.

Design Trend also states that Wave 3 may be re-stocked this year, with Ike coming back to store shelves by August and King Dedede hopefully getting re-stocked by July. Wave 3 Marth is still nowhere in sight and there is no official word for a 2015 release.
