The time has come for Nintendo NX to be divulged rather than kept. New reports coming from renowned industry analyst Dr. Serkan Toto hint that the console will be released alongside a "Smash Bros." title.

"Bandai Namco is currently developing several NX titles. 'Smash Bros.' is planned to be a launch title. I am not sure about the date – yet," the expert teased in one of his tweets.

"I haven't heard if it's a completely new (numbered) Smash Bros. or not. Otherwise, source situation is solid," Toto then assured in a follow-up tweet. From the looks of it, a "Smash Bros." game will indeed be released alongside the Nintendo NX.

According to Gamesradar, it won't be a shock if the "Smash Bros." title will turn out to be a new iteration of "Super Smash Bros.," which has a Wii U version and a 3DS version already.

The site points out that it has been six long years between the release dates of the respective versions. By releasing a new version of the brawler with the Nintendo NX, Nintendo will be able to slot in more DLC goodies and features.

For starters, it can add new challengers and bundle the latest character additions with the likes of Bayonetta and Cloud Strife. The site believes that all the maps in the 3DS version and Wii U version can be stuffed in the Nintendo NX version of "Super Smash Bros."

This will work perfectly with the device being a being a combination of a handheld and home console. Rumors about such case continue to proliferate. The latest to add fire to this fuel is Extremetech.

The site reports that the Nintendo NX will indeed have two forms. The handheld component of the device can reportedly be connected to the console but can also be a portable standalone gaming device.

The publication also mentions IHS Technologies analyst Hiroshi Hayase's claims that Nintendo is allegedly prepping for the device's release by sending out some software development kits.

Hayase also notes that the Nintendo NX will be released this year, with the Japanese gaming company busy with "a small recovery in shipments of flat-panel displays for game devices."
