The latest Nintendo NX release date rumors hint that the console will be released alongside "The Legend of Zelda" – both its Wii U version and an alleged edition made for the upcoming console.

The release is said to take place later this year, which means that the Nintendo NX will, after all, see the light of day before the year ends. The best part is that a "Zelda" game is one of the launch titles for the device.

On the other hand, a credible leakster going by the name of Geno has shared details about the features and specs of the highly anticipated Nintendo NX.

The source claims that the new Nintendo console will come with a wireless HDMI dongle that can be connected to any display with a standard HDMI output. The Nintendo NX is also allegedly armed with a more advanced streaming technology that allows HD display on the TV screen.

The machine is also said to be as powerful as the Xbox One and it can support games that typically work on Microsoft's new-gen console and the PS4 with little to no modification.

That being said, gamers can play their favorite titles and Nintendo games in one convenient location. Speaking of which, the Nintendo NX's Bluetooth compatibility allows it to connect to smartphone and mobile devices, which means that text messages and calls can be displayed on the console.

Nintendo NX purportedly runs with an operating system especially made for it – the NintendOS. It bears resemblance to the Android OS but boasts extremely strong networking functions.

The software offers modern features seen in most mobile operating systems. In terms of social features, Geno invites users to think "Pokemon GO," an upcoming augmented reality game that allows gamers to catch, train and battle Pokemon in the real world.

Nintendo NX will also take multiplayer, AR (augmented reality) cards and the StreetPass feature to a entirely new level.
