The Nintendo 3DS XL gaming device might soon be coming to its end. According to the report posted in Siliconera, Nintendo posted in its website that they will stop producing the Nintendo 3DS XL devices in Japan. 

The announcement was posted next to the images of the portable gaming consoles, saying that the products will be "ending production soon." This means that those who are planning to purchase the bigger 3DS model in Japan should make their move soon before stocks run out. 

In the meantime, there is no news if Nintendo of Europe and Nintendo of America will also stop selling the Nintendo 3DS XL in their own markets. GameSpot reported that the device is still available in Europe and no announcements have been made to indicate any change in its availability.  

The production of the regular Nintendo 3DS models will continue however, including the selected colors like Metallic Red, Clear Black, and Gloss Pink. Also, a new Nintendo 3DS was launched in Japan last October, and there are plans to release the new gaming console in North American markets in the coming year. 

Polygon earlier reported that the new-generation of Nintendo 3DS device has a brand-new analog nub that can be seen above the cluster of ABYT buttons as well as the latest ZL and ZR shoulder buttons. When compared with the soon-to-be phased out Nintendo 3DS XL model, some of its physical buttons have been moved around. 

The new Nintendo 3DS model also features added controls, enhanced CPU and clearer screen. It also has a better battery life and a better built-in support for the amiibo range for Nintendo. The new gaming console was announced by the company in August.  It can be purchased in Japan and Australia, and their release in international markets is expected to happen soon.
