Game fans who are looking forward to hearing anything new about the upcoming Nintendo Switch will have to wait until January 2017 for key details. However, company president Tatsumi Kimishima has hinted details about the pricing and title lineup of the upcoming device.

The company has published a Q & A summary of its earnings briefing that contains Kimishima talking about the Switch's price in general. He said: "Regarding the price, as we have been saying, we are, in principle, not planning to sell it at a loss. We would like a wide variety of consumers to enjoy Nintendo products, and we would also like to think in terms of consumers' expectations for our products."

However, the statement does not make things easy either since the Switch is a new concept when it comes to video game consoles. It is the first hybrid system, and nothing to compare with any of Nintendo's past gaming devices. The Wii and Wii U have an introductory price of $250 and $300, respectively, while the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One were between $400 and $500. Therefore, consumers are looking at these figures when the Switch is released. Anything more than $500 will definitely bring second thoughts to the gaming public.

"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is the only game confirmed to arrive on the Nintendo Switch, but the introductory video for the device also showed a glimpse of "Mario Kart 8" and "Splatoon." A still unknown 3D Mario game was also briefly presented on the video. "Skyrim" and an unknown version of an "NBA 2K" games were seen as well. Though these are all unconfirmed games.

According to Kimishima, "We believe that third-party publishers have been able to realize that Nintendo Switch offers a chance to create new and exciting surprises which are not possible with existing gaming devices."

He also added that many third-party publishers have shown interest right after the introductory video was released. Other game developers have already expressed their interest in supporting the upcoming console. Game Spot mentioned that "Just Dance 2017" from Ubisoft, will arrive, while Activision, Capcom, Electronic Arts, Konami, Square Enix, and Warner Bros., among others, have already partnered with Nintendo.

The Nintendo Switch is expected to be released in March 2017.
