Amid the controversies surrounding the newly released Switch, Nintendo has unveiled the newest feature for the console. Well, these are none other than protective skins. While protective skins do not entirely affect one's gameplay, they are expected to give the company's sales journey a boost.

According to LetsGoDigital, Nintendo has released the so-called protective skins for its highly celebrated console, Switch. In order to make this release possible, the video game company had to partner with an accessory manufacturer located in Burbank, Southern California. As its name implies, these skins are meant to give protection regardless if the hybrid console is being used or not.

The company reassured the market that these Nintendo Switch protective skins are not only easy to use, but they are also completely safe. In fact, prior to announcing its arrival, the company already started several tests. Unfortunately for short-cutters, unlicensed accessories are prohibited and should not be integrated into the mobile game console.

The most interesting of all Nintendo Switch protective skins is "The Zelda Collector's Edition," which is available to purchase for $19.99. To use it, just easily apply the skin protector as well as the Joy-Con skins on the console and controllers. These will help in keeping the gaming system safe from any form of scratches. They are already available and can be bought from GameStop, Best Buy and Amazon.

It should be noted that the first-ever set of Joy-Cons to be unveiled is the one in the color yellow. This was revealed during Nintendo's presentation last month, as noted by Press Start. It is slated to hit the shelves come June 16, alongside "ARMS." The latter will be available to purchase as an exclusive product for the Nintendo Switch. It will be sold for $79.95. As for the neon yellow Joy-Cons, interested players can buy these at a price of $119.95.
