Nintendo Switch owners who love Prison Break-style adventures will now be able to live the full life of an inmate while methodically planning his daring escape — all without actually being in prison — as "The Escapists 2" makes its way to the handheld.

The fun and exciting game from Team 17, the same group who brought players the sidesplitting mayhem of The Worms series, gives a much lighter take on what it feels like to be locked up behind bars. Players will follow the daily struggles of a convict such as trying to make it in time for roll calls to avoid punishment and trying to eat lunch while hoping the entire mess hall doesn't erupt in a chaotic brawl.

The main objective of the game is to try and escape the confines of the prison without getting caught. Players can use their free time to survey specific areas of the compound and formulate their plans for escape. They can secretly gather materials that can be used to aid in their getaway such as timber, duct tape, razors, and even dental floss. All of the items can be crafted to form better tools that will improve the inmates' chances of escape, like shovels and grappling hooks.

"The Escapists 2" was released in Dec 18, 2017 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC and is a big improvement from its predecessor as the first game did not include a multiplayer mode for versus and cooperative play. Players can now team up and strategize with anyone, both locally and online, giving them a better shot at freedom.

The sequel also has improved graphics, more items, and even more prisons to challenge a player's stealth and problem solving skills. It also has deeper customization options that allows players to choose from up to 300 different looks to create the perfect inmate for the perfect escape.

"The Escapists 2" is now available for download on the Switch.
