The much-awaited "No Man's Sky" has already been released. However, it is confirmed that the new title is available only on the PS4 at this time, with the PC version soon to follow.

On a Reddit forum, developer Hello Games answered fans on why there is a delay for the PC version of the game. According to studio executive Sean Murray, the PC title is actually still being finished, that is why there is a need for at least a few days between releases. Murray stated, "There's no conspiracy, we're just racing to get all the extra options and stuff we want."

Murray also promised that they will stick to the schedule this time around. "Best guess right now is 6 PM GMT on Friday, but we'll keep you up to date as we get closer," the studio executive said.

The PC version for "No Man's Sky" is pegged for releases on August 12, at least 3 days after the August 9 launch of the game on the current-gen Sony console. The release has been delayed at least twice. Prior to the August rollout, "No Man's Sky" is originally expected to release in 2015, though Hello Games said that they are shooting for a mid-2016 rollout. After the game has been scheduled to release in June though, Hello Games announced that there will be a setback for the title.

Meanwhile, since "No Man's Sky" is already on its finishing touches, the studio is hinting on other game projects as well. "There are other ideas we've got rattling around in our heads too," Murray added. "I think video games is just such a largely unexplored field. There's very few studios that pull off the two game thing, but supporting one game and then kicking off something new--that's doable right?"

Aside from new IPs, Hello Games plans to continue with expanding "No Man's Sky," as a number of new updates are already in the pipeline.
