'No Man's Sky' release date news: Pre-orders and price announcement for game briefly appears on PS Blog

Although a specific release date has yet to be set for "No Man's Sky," an accidental post may have given a hint that the game will roll out soon. The inadvertent slip may have also given waiting fans an idea how much they can get the title for when it releases.

An announcement on the U.S. PlayStation Blog reportedly listed "No Man's Sky" as going live for pre-orders, supposedly starting today. The post itself has already been edited, and no mention of the game can be seen in the new announcement.

However, observers who are waiting for "No Man's Sky" took note of the accidental announcement, and Game Informer even managed to capture a screenshot of the original post. Interestingly, the post gave March 3 as a release date for the game on the PlayStation 4, not just a pre-order date.

The accidental posting also included the supposed price of "No Man's Sky," and the $59.99 price seen in the announcement is roughly the same amount the game was previously rumored to be priced at.

Although the posting has already been removed, Popular Science surmised that the image hinted that pre-orders for the game will go live soon since Sony went to the trouble of preparing the announcement in the first place. Pre-orders going live this early dovetail with the supposed release window for "No Man's Sky," as Hello Games already confirmed that the title will release in the middle of the year, possibly in June.

While the supposed pre-order announcement has been pulled out, having the post appear briefly may hopefully mean that fans can expect "No Man's Sky" to finally release. The game has been delayed for a time now, and was originally scheduled to release before the holidays last year.
