"No Man's Sky" is one of the most anticipated games for PlayStation and personal computer (PC) that was supposed to be available during the holidays in 2015. However, fans didn't see the game's release that time and are starting to get disappointed, with the date pushed further to June this year.
The game title by Hello Games was first introduced in 2013, but it has been almost three years and there is still no official release date coming from the developers. Sources say that the delay in the game's release is due to Hello Games' plan of making "No Man's Sky" compatible with virtual reality (VR) consoles.
Reports of the game running on a VR console are not confirmed but speculations about it may have started when game creator Sean Murray hinted that it is a possibility.
"I don't know what I'm allowed to say," Murray told Edge Magazine, according to via GamesRadar, when asked about the possibility of the game to be VR-compatible. "It's something we're thinking about. Morpheus, Oculus... There's nothing more cool and sci-fi than VR and a big procedural universe," he added.

"No Man's Sky" is being developed as a PlayStation 4 exclusive game, with a PC version coming out later, and this is a great disappointment for other console users. However, there just might be a chance that the game will come out as an Xbox One game as well.
It was ID@Xbox Director Chris Charla, who said in The Inner Circle podcast last year in March that he "would love to see" the game on Xbox One and is willing to negotiate with Hello Games. However, so far, the British game developer has not provided an announcement on the matter.
The game's probable release date may still be far off, but people already got an idea what the game can bring to the table when Murray himself revealed the gameplay demo (shown below) back in 2015. Expectations are high, but will gamers keep looking forward to its release or will they soon lose interest and get tired of waiting?
Fans of the game can only hope that the release of "No Man's Sky" doesn't get delayed further. Should there be more delays, they can only hope that the gaming experience will make up for the long wait.
