While fans may have been disappointed when developer and publisher Hello Games pushed back the original release date of its space exploration title "No Man's Sky," the delay might have been a blessing in disguise instead. According to recent speculations, "No Man's Sky" will finally arrive in June this year with virtual reality support.

According to Movie Pilot, a recent interview with Sony executive Shuhei Yoshida may have given fans a hint at "No Man's Sky."

In the interview, Yoshida was asked what the new year would look like for the PlayStation 4, with big titles expected to come out and new features for the home console being unlocked as well.

Regarding the PlayStation VR, Yoshida replied, "It's a completely new medium and the best of VR games will come out of nowhere, just as games on mobile or other new platforms like Facebook emerged."

While Hello Games has yet to confirm if indeed "No Man's Sky" will have VR support, some observers took the delay for the launch (the title was supposed to launch before 2015 ended) as an indication that the developer is still polishing the game.

The industry observer said that "No Man's Sky" is such a perfect title for the upcoming PlayStation VR and virtual reality gaming in general (the title is also rumored to come to the PC) that Hello Games decided to fine-tune the game and add VR support.

Meanwhile, as the June release date for "No Man's Sky" approaches, fans hope that the title lives up to its hype. Anticipation for the game continues to be so high that "No Man's Sky" was even voted as the "Most Anticipated Game of 2016" in the recently concluded The Game Awards.

However, not every observer is excited about the game, as there are others that predicted "No Man's Sky" to only be getting a "hype train."
