"No Man's Sky" will offer an incredibly expansive universe for players to explore upon its release and now, some are asking if maybe they could explore along with a friend.

As of now, "No Man's Sky" is only designed to be a single player game upon being released, but there is at least some hope that things could change.

The game's creator, Sean Murray, has already talked about the possibility of adding a co-op feature to the game in the past, but it would, apparently, be an add-on as opposed to an actual built-in feature, Moviepilot reported.

Still, even just the fact that Murray is considering the idea of adding a co-op mode to "No Man's Sky" has to be an encouraging sign for those who want the feature to eventually become part of the game in one way or another.

For now at least, co-op inside "No Man's Sky" exists more in the realm of wishful thinking than actual reality, but things could still certainly change moving forward.

As for the features that are already confirmed to be part of "No Man's Sky," players can expect the goal of discovery to be at the heart of everything they do.

"No Man's Sky" is offering a universe that will be just about impossible to completely explore, but players are certainly encouraged to see what they can.

According to Alphr, a key component of gameplay in "No Man's Sky" involves using beacons to upload the player's discoveries and then using the resources gathered from that to upgrade the ship being used. Once the player's ship has been upgraded enough, it may soon become possible for players to see more of the universe they reside in and perhaps make it to its very center.

"No Man's Sky" is scheduled to be released in June 2016.
