"No Man's Sky" developer Hello Games has not given an official release date for their highly anticipate game, which is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 and PC, but according to a report from Crossmap, the game might be given a surprise release this August.

Hello Games has not yet changed their release window for the game, but according to the report, Hello Games allegedly has plans to launch the game this month.

During the Game Developers Conference, Hello Games already began releasing numerous videos and promotional material for the game. IGN has shared a video showcasing roughly 18 minutes of gameplay while the official PlayStation blog has shared a report about the numerous facts in and about "No Man's Sky."

However, as rumors go, there is still a high probability that Hello Games will not release "No Man's Sky" this month and may instead release it closer to Black Friday or the Christmas holidays in order to take advantage of the strong consumer market caused by nationwide sales.

The official release date for "No Man's Sky" is still listed as TBA for 2015. Until Hello Games officially moves it to 2016, it is assumed that the game will be released this year, whether or not it comes out by surprise this August.

"No Man's Sky" is a procedural generated game wherein a player takes a ship to explore a universe filled with 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 planets to explore. There is no story to follow, making this one of the largest free-roaming sandbox games to date.
