Shortly after the discovery of an early certification of a 4G variant of the Nokia 3310, the TENAA listing has been updated to reveal some of the key specifications of the device. The Nokia 3310 4G is expected to deliver a faster experience featuring a dual-core processor, more storage space, and additional memory over the previous Nokia 3310 model.

As confirmed by the TENAA listing first spotted by Fonearena, the Nokia 3310 4G (model number TA-1077) will support various network bands including Band 38, Band 39, Band 40, and Band 41 along with standards like GSM, TD-SCDMA, and TD-LTE. According to a report by Gadgets 360, the handset will likely support some 4G networks in India, but a different variant specifically for the Indian market with wider support can be expected.

The TENAA listing further reveals that the Nokia 3310 4G will be powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 256MB of RAM, and 512MB of on-board storage, a significant upgrade when compared to the previous Nokia 3310 model released in 2017 which had a 360MHz single-core processor and 64MB of on-board storage. Despite the faster processor, enhanced memory, and added storage, the Nokia 3310 4G will still look similar to its predecessor with a 2.4-inch TFT non-touch display which has a 240×240 pixels of resolution, and a 1200mAh battery. Additionally, the initial online appearance of the new device features the YunOS 5.2.0.

The Nokia 3310 4G variant is speculated to be released in time for the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in February as HMD Global announced the predecessor of the device in last year's MWC in Barcelona, Spain as the comeback of the Nokia brand. HMD Global will also be hosting an event on Jan. 19 in which the Finnish company is expected to introduce the latest Nokia smartphones including its flagship Nokia 9, the Nokia 6 (2018), and the Nokia 8 (2018) which intend to expand the market presence of HMD Global.
