Nokia 3310 rebrand with 3G support to arrive in U.S. for $59.99

The Nokia 3310 is getting a 3G-capable modelNokia website

HMD Global, the company that took over the Nokia label after the once popular handset brand took a break, is bringing the Nokia 3310 3G model in the U.S. next week. A recent Best Buy listing confirmed that the 3G version of the rebranded Nokia classic phone will arrive on Oct. 29.

As reported by NDTV, the all-new Nokia 3310 was well-received by the public upon re-launch this year. However, many users were disappointed as the handset did not include 3G connectivity support, thus making it harder to get a more stable internet access.

It was reported that the 3G version of Nokia 3310 will be sold in the U.S. market for $59.99. The pre-ordering period for the Nokia 3310 3G phone already began, and those who already placed their orders in advance will get the units at the soonest time possible.

The improved Nokia 3310 phone is also packed with new exciting features aside from 3G support. For one, the redesigned handset will highlight new customization options, like rearranging icons on the menu and picking color themes desired by the user. This new Nokia 3310 screen interface is being introduced as a personalized retro UI.

The Nokia 3310 3G will sport a 2.4-inch screen with maximum 240x320 pixels resolution. Users can store files amounting to 32GB. The device will include the usual 3.5mm headphone jack for private listening purposes. As a major improvement from the 90s classic phone, the new Nokia 3310 now has a 2MP rear camera, although there is no front or selfie snapper. The device has up to 6.5 hours of talk time, while it will take at most 24 days to drain the phone's power on standby.

The most important feature of all is the return of popular Nokia 3310 game, Snake, introducing a new design and stage. The device will be available in several color options, including Charcoal, Warm Red, Azure, and Yellow.

To note, a similar Nokia 3310 device with 2G support was first released in India last June. The said phone variant is available for 3,310 Indian Rupees. The country has yet to receive the 3G variant.
