A posting for the Nokia Lumia 835 recently popped up on Microsoft's official Lumia webpage, prompting rumors that a new device will be launched soon.

Based on the posting, the so-called Nokia Lumia 835 has a 10-megapixel Preview camera with O1S and Carl Zeiss optics that can be used to capture perfect images. However, the specs listed in the posting looks very similar to the specs of the Nokia Lumia 830 and it takes users who click on the [Buy Now] link to the official store page of AT&T.

According to GSM Arena, the so-called Nokia Lumia 835 could just be a typo error. It stated that Microsoft will release a new device under the Lumia line, it will not be under the Nokia brand since the company has already replaced the name of the product line late last year after the Redmond company purchased the mobile phone manufacturing arm of the Finnish corporation.

There is another typo error in the posting when it mentioned that O1S was included in the camera instead of OIS.

However, the report also mentioned that the posting could be a marketing ploy from Microsoft to build up the hype for the so-called Nokia Lumia 835. The page might also be a placeholder for the upcoming device if Microsoft will indeed release it anytime soon.

Earlier rumors made a passing about the specs of an alleged Nokia Lumia 835, saying that it will come with a 12-megapixel secondary camera with Zeiss optics, Pureview technology and LED flash. It is also mentioned that the alleged product will have 1 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 128 GB.

However, there is no exact release date for the so-called Nokia Lumia 835, and rumors about its release died down soon after that. The validity of the pop up posting is also unconfirmed at the moment.
