Nokia's announcement that they will release their very first tablet in the market next year has gotten a lot of people curious as to what the upcoming Finnish-branded device has to offer. Nokia's N1 tablet is the first product that the company will roll out after they sold their mobile phone product line to Microsoft earlier this year.

Nokia is a respected name when it comes to mobile phones, but can the Nokia N1 compete against its major competitors?  Here's a look at the side by side comparison between the Nokia N1, which will be released sometime in 2015, and the HTC-menufactured Google Nexus 9 that is already available in stores since October this year.

Body and Display

The Nokia N1 comes with a 7.9-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display featuring 1536 x 2048 pixel resolution with 324 ppi pixel density. It measures 7.90 x 5.46 x 0.27 inches all over, and weighs 11.22 ounces.

Meanwhile, the bigger Nexus 9 comes with an 8.9-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1536 x 2048 pixel resolution with 281 ppi pixel density. It has a measurement of 8.98 x 6.05 x 0.31 inches and weighs 14.99 ounces.

Internal Memory and Features

Nokia's device is equipped with an 64-bit quad-core Intel Z3580, while Google's tablet has a Tegra K1 64-bit dual-core 2.3 GHz.  Both have 2 GB of RAM and run using the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.

Camera

Both the Nokia N1 and Google Nexus 9 have 8-megapixel primary shooters with autofocus capacities, but the HTC manufactured tablet has a built-in LED flash. Meanwhile, the N1 has a more powerful 5-megapixel secondary shooter, while the Nexus 9 only has a 1.6-megapixel secondary front-facing camera.

Price

Once the tablet is released next year, Nokia will reportedly set a $250 price tag to its N1 product, while the 16 GB Nexus 9 is selling for $400.
