NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti news, release date: Unannounced card could be overclocked; GPU to releasing this month?

NVIDIA is said to release two low-end GPUs this month, the GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti.GeForce official website

The tech community is already expecting that NVIDIA will be launching its GTX 1050 series video graphics card this month, a standard and a Ti model. The GTX 1050 Ti card has a big overclocking potential, as the latest reports suggest.

A leaker has posted some interesting information about the alleged GTX 1050 Ti. The Pascal based card was able to reach a boosted clock of 1,468 MHz, with a base clock of 1,354 MHz. It should be noted that this is a custom model of the said graphics card that contains a dual slot cooling solution. It is also equipped with a 6-Pin power connector, meaning it will consume more than 75 watts, as reported by WCCFTech.

The GPU-Z screenshot provided for the overclock device showed that it could immediately provide a memory speed of 1,797 MHz straight from the factory, without tinkering much with is voltage requirements. It also showed a 43.3 GPixel/s pixel filtrate and an 87.7 GTexel/s texture filtrate. The card comes with a 4 GB GDDR5 VRAM, 128-bit bus width, and 112.1 GB/s bandwidth.

Claims are not complete without benchmarking performance results. The overclocked GTX 1050 Ti scored 1,895 points on Firestrike Ultra, while a test on Time Spy game is 2,513 points. Overall, the score is generally higher compared to other custom models of GTX 960 and AMD Radeon R9 380 video graphics cards.

It is then speculated that the custom card could provide a better gaming experience than the stock model that could generally be appealing to gamers and PC enthusiast who are on a controlled budget. Of course, this will not provide the same performance of NVIDIA's higher models.

The stock GTX 1050 Ti is rumored to contain the GP 107 GPU core, 768 CUDA cores, 1,290 /1,392 MHz base and boosted clock speeds, and it will be able to provide up to 2.1 TFLOPS of computing power. It could also contain several display ports such as three DisplayPort 1.4, a single HDMI 2.0b, and a one DVI.

The NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti is expected to be released on Oct. 18, and it could carry a $149 retail price tag. On the other hand, the GTX 1050 could be released on Oct. 26 at around $119.
