For the past few months, the American technology company NVIDIA has been dominating the high-end graphics card market with the recent release of their brand new Pascal-based products. Now, the company is reportedly set to release yet another product next year that will become a relatively cheaper alternative for those who are not able to dish out the amount of money required for a top-end NVIDIA Titan X video card.

The company's upcoming GTX 1080 Ti video card has long been rumored to be coming very soon. Several reports had even leaked some of the new product's hardware specs and features. Based on the leaked specs, the new GTX 1080 Ti is indeed in the same league as the powerful Titan X. It is a bit slower, but only by a very thin margin. The biggest advantage, however, is that it will likely be priced significantly lower than the Titan X, giving consumers more bang for their buck.

As for the new graphic card's specs, the GTX 1080 Ti is built with NVIDIA's latest 12 billion 471mm² GP102 GPU chips. It contains a total of 3328 CUDA cores, 208 texture mapping units, and a base clock of 1.5GHz. The card has a total of 12 GB of GDDR5 VRAM in a 384-bit memory bus with a 384 GB per second memory bandwidth.

While majority of the hardware is slightly watered down compared to the hardware on the Titan X, the card is still able to churn out an unbelievable 10.8 teraflops of computing power. While the Titan X is able to generate 11 teraflops, technophiles have to note that the GTX 1080 Ti will possibly only cost just a fraction of the price of the Titan X.

According to the latest reports from WCCFTech, the brand new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti could be made available to the public as early as January 2017.
