'OK KO.! Let's Be Heroes' news: Cartoon Network orders season 2 of 'OK KO' and a tandem video game

Cartoon Network has renewed its animated television series "OK KO! Let's Be Heroes" for season 2. The release date of the second season is yet to be announced. Along with the renewal, it was also confirmed that season 2 will be accompanied by a video game just like with season 1.

The first season received impressive score ratings from critics. Den of Geek gave the series a 4.5 out of 5 score and 4 out of 5 stars from Common Sense Media. Season 1 ended with a total of 43 episodes including the pilot special released on May 21, 2013. There are still no information from the show's creator Ian Jones Quartey or Cartoon Network on how many episodes will season 2 have.

According to reports, the second season will introduce new superhero characters, new villains, and new adventures. Reports also indicate that new mysteries surrounding Lakewood Plaza Turbo will surface in season 2.

The trailer of the second season features all the main characters -- K.O., Enid, Radicles, Carol, and Mr. Gar. The video starts with Enid playing a video game and K.O. annoying her by asking the name of the game over and over.

Enid then says the name of the game, "OK KO! Let's Play Heroes." This is the game developed as a tandem for the second season. The video game will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam soon.

The mobile video game tandem of season 1 carries the title "OK KO.! Lakewood Plaza Turbo." This game was made available for Android and iOS on Feb. 4, 2016. The first game was developed by Double Stallion Games, and Capybara Games will handle the second one to be released in 2018.

The premiere date for the second season of "OK KO! Let's Play Heroes" and the release date of the video game "OK KO! Let's Play Heroes" are yet to be announced.
