After Russell Westbrook agreed to sign a contract extension with the team, Oklahoma City Thunder is reportedly looking for new team members who can help him run the show in the upcoming NBA season.

One of the rumors claim that the Thunder is trying to acquire the Los Angeles Clippers power forward Blake Griffin.

The 27-year-old 2011 NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion has been in the middle of multiple trade rumors, and one of the team that is reportedly looking forward to get them in their roster is the Thunder. Since Griffin was actually born in Oklahoma City, it might not be impossible to see him playing for the Thunder anytime soon.

Other rumors claim that the Thunder is also working on deals to get Atlanta Hawks power forward Paul Millsap or Utah Jazz small forward Gordon Hayward in the team.

According to Inquisitr, Hayward could help Thunder improve the offensive stats with his expertise in three-point shooting. However, the report also mentioned that the team may still have to wait until the next off-season and try to get him in the free agency market.

Millsap could also help the team's scoring if they could snatch him from the Hawks since he is known for being one of the best overall scorer from his team. But unlike Hayward, Millsap's free agency status already allows him to be traded to another team. This means that he is free to join the Thunder anytime soon.

Griffin, Hayward, and Millsap could definitely help Westbrook bring the Thunder at the top of the Northwest Division of the Western conference in the upcoming 2016-2017 NBA season. Westbrook reportedly signed for a three-year extension that will give him $85.7 million.

"There is nowhere else I'd rather be than Oklahoma City. You guys have basically kind of raised me. I've been here since I was 18, 19 years old and you guys have done nothing but great things for me. ... I definitely wanted to have an opportunity to be loyal to you guys," told the press after signing up for the contract extension as reported by The Daily Mail.
