It was another spectacular night for Oklahoma City Thunder's Russell Westbrook as he recorded his third triple-double this season to help his team take a 98–95 victory over the Sacramento Kings last Sunday. 

Westbrook tallied 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists as well as three steals in 38 minutes of action. 

But it was not just Westbrook who shone for Oklahoma City, as former Most Valuable Player (MVP) forward Kevin Durant led all scorers with 20 points, also having 10 rebounds, four assists, and one steal. 

Durant was also the one who drained the go-ahead basket which helped the Thunder seal the win. 

"That's what your best player does. He's not going to play perfect every night, but you can see he closed the game for us and did a good job defensively," Westbrook said about Durant, who also had 10 turnovers, according to the Associated Press. 

Meanwhile, Durant said about his winning shot, "I've been trusted my whole career, taking those shots. I've failed plenty and plenty of times. I've made shots as well. I just try to stay focused and stay disciplined in what I do, and they went down for me."

Along with the duo of Westbrook and Durant, center Enes Kanter also played huge for Oklahoma City, having 14 points, 10 rebounds, and one rejection coming off the bench. 

Forward Serge Ibaka and reserve guard Dion Waiters also reached the double-digit scoring mark, contributing 12 and 10 points, respectively, in the win. 

The win ended a two-game losing streak for the Thunder and also improved their record to 12–8 for the third spot in the Western Conference standings, trailing nine games behind the Golden State Warriors (22–0) for the top spot in the conference. 

Next for the Thunder will be a road trip as they head to the FedExForum today, Tuesday, to take on the Memphis Grizzlies who are also coming off a win as they defeated the Phoenix Suns last Sunday.
