OM TeenStreet Germany 2005 Expects to Draw Thousands

Operation Mobilisation’s (OM) annual international Christian youth event TeenStreet is set to be held on 30th July - 6th August in Münster, Germany. Over the last 12 years, it has successfully grown to an international scale with youths coming from all countries to deepen their relationship with Christ as well as friendship with the world. This year, it is expected to draw thousands to Germany.

The theme this year is "Time Machine". It aims to guide the youths to understand their place NOW by "Remembering the FUTURE".

Back in 2004, the TeenStreet in Oldenburg, Germany with the theme "Driving at the Speed of Life", has allowed youths to understand that every person not only has a purpose to love God and people, but also God’s gifted force to influence the history. A total of 3623 people from 27 nations have attended the meaning.

The vision of TeenStreet is to "Love God & Love People". To achieve "Love God", various programmes focusing on spiritual training are scheduled. The daily "The Big Adventure" features reading and reflecting on the Bible, prayer, listening to God and writing journals. Also, TeenStreet reunions, Teen group leaders training and other continual support will also be offered when the participants return home to help strengthen each other in Christian faith.

"Love People" will be best demonstrated as people starting to serve and support the community. TeenStreet will introduce short term mission opportunities at home and abroad called the "TiM Experience".

"TiM" stands for "Teens in Mission", after TeenStreet this year 145 teens will speed into the Teens in Mission (TiM) Experience with OM in Belgium, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands and the UK.
