'Once Upon a Time' season 5 spoilers: Regina and Cora to have a happy reunion in the Underworld for 100th episode?
It seems like the winter premiere episode of "Once Upon a Time" season 5 centers on the reunion of the good and the bad characters of the hit fairytale fantasy drama.
ABC recently released a set of new photos for "Souls of the Departed," which happens to be the 100th episode of the series.
In this episode, Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), her parents Mary Margaret/Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and David/Prince Charming (David Nolan), her son Henry (Jared S. Gilmore) and his adopted mother Regina Mills/Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla), as well as Storybrooke's baddie Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) will travel to the Underworld on a rescue mission to save Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) after he turned into the Dark One in the midseason finale of season 5.
But upon reaching the Underworld, the Storybrooke residents discovered that finding Hook will not be a walk in the park, since the place is inhabited with all the former villains who want to retaliate.
Based on a set of photos shared by TV Line for the upcoming episode, the Underworld looks almost exactly like Storybrooke. However, a previous interview with series creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis revealed that the place will be nothing like the heroes' community.
"What the underworld is and why it looks the way it does is a part of our storytelling coming up. So while we don't want to spoil it, we can say that there is a very specific reason why it looks like Storybrooke, and it has to do with some of the folks we're gonna meet down there," Horowitz revealed to The Hollywood Reporter.
One of the photos for the upcoming episode shows that Regina will be reunited with her mother Cora Mills/Queen of Hearts (Barbara Hershey). The two had a tumultuous relationship in the past, but they later realized right before Cora died due to Snow's poison that they love each other. Will this reunion become a happy one for the mother-and-daughter duo?
"Once Upon a Time" 100th episode airs on Sunday, March 6, on ABC.
