'Once Upon a Time' season 5 episode 10 spoilers: Emma will regret changing Hook

Hook will not be able to forgive Emma in upcoming episode of "Once Upon A Time"ABC

Hook's (Colin O'Donoghue) hate toward Emma (Jennifer Morrison) will overpower the love he feels for her in the upcoming episode of the ABC series "Once Upon a Time."

Entertainment Weekly interviewed O'Donoghue recently and he revealed quite a lot about his character's predicament now that he was the Dark One. Last episode, Emma turned Hook into a dark creature just like herself. She told Regina (Lana Parrilla) that it was the only way to save him after the got cut by the Excalibur during one of his duels with Arthur (Liam Garrigan). No one can escape death after that, so Emma was forced to do the unthinkable.

Unfortunately for her, when Hook came around, his vengeful side as a pirate took over. He could not believe Emma would turn him and he wanted to hurt him the way she did. Next episode, he will even challenge Rumple (Robert Carlyle) in a duel.

They have a long history together, but when Hook met Emma, he changed and learned to forgive Rumpel for tormenting him for the longest time. But now, with the darkness inside him, Hook will not be able to hold back his anger.

According to O'Donoghue, Hook still feels love for Emma. He said that no matter how dark things have become between them, the pirate still has the capacity to feel for his lady love. But while that sentiment will not change, his character being the Dark One will find it hard not to hate her.

"You know when you have that massive argument with your partner and you're just really pissed off with each other? Just imagine that, only you are the darkest person in the world. But that's not to say that he doesn't love her... but when you get pissed off as the Dark One, that's serious business," he said.

The actor also admitted that the plot twist involving Hook was a shocker for him when he first found out about it. He said that he was excited to delve back into the darker side and explore it once again. O'Donoghue also teased that viewers would learn more about Hook's backstory with his father and how this would relate to Regina.

"Once Upon a Time" airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
