It's time to check in on Storybrooke once more with "Once Upon A Time" season 5 premiering Sept. 27. Fans will see Emma go full-on wicked as she transforms into the Dark One in the premiere, which is very fittingly titled "The Dark Swan."

Storybrooke's savior is now someone set to destroy the place she had vowed to protect, and everyone is doing their best to get darkness out of her system. As she goes about doing all things evil, she will come across the crossbow-wielding princess Merida, the series' take on the protagonist from the Pixar animated movie "Brave."

According to E! Online, their stand-off is just one of the many things to look forward to in the "Once Upon A Time" season 5 premiere. The website did not provide any details about their confrontation but it promised that it will blow fans away.

Meanwhile, Hook is doing everything to bring back Emma back to the way she was. The besotted pirate will not stop until Dark Swan is no more. In turn, Hook comes up with various plans, a majority of them requiring the help of Henry.

Henry is now the Author, and while he can easily "write the darkness out of Emma" as Hook implores him to do, the young man has no instrument to use to change Emma's fate, having broken the pen. This does not stop Hook from making more attempts.

He pitches another idea to Henry – one that will be too dangerous to his mother Regina's eyes. But it is the risks that go with it that makes the adventure-thirsty lad even more dogged. As he declares, he is no longer a kid and so he doesn't want to be treated like one.

As fans follow their cracks at bringing the old Emma back, the "Once Upon A Time" season 5 premiere will also take the viewers to Camelot, where they will be able to catch up with Lancelot and finally meet King Arthur and Percival. Be sure to catch the season 5 premiere of "Once Upon a Time" on ABC at 8 p.m. ET. Alternatively, watch it online via live stream on ABC.com
