When "Once Upon a Time" season 5 returns to the small screen, Emma will embark on a dangerous journey to the Underworld to save Hook. However, new spoilers hint that she will also take this opportunity to bring back Neal.

According to reports, Emma will take time to save the man who is also known as Baelfire, whom she accompanied minutes before his death. It was her face he saw before he closed his eyes forever and wished her and Henry happiness.

There's no way to know for sure whether or not "Once Upon a Time" season 5 will at some point give Neal a second chance at life. But with the theme for the second half of the season, it easily becomes a possibility.

"The second half is a lot about them getting closure on their pasts and how the past comes to haunt you," series co-creator and executive producer Edward Kitsis told The Hollywood Reporter.

In a separate interview with TV Line, Kitsis hinted that Emma will likely stumble upon Neal in the Underworld.

"I would think that it would be very disappointing for Emma to go down there and not have somebody talk about Neal," the showrunner said.

From the way things ended between Emma and Neal, it is safe to say that there are still some loose ends for them to tie. It will be intriguing how "Once Upon a Time" season 5 will bring this into play, but it will certainly make fans pleased.

In other related news, photographer Larry Andreutti shared on Twitter behind-the-scenes photos featuring Jamie Chung as Mulan, Meghan Ory as Red Riding Hood aka Ruby and Teri Reeves as Dorothy.

Executive producer Adam Horowitz also used Twitter to announce that episode 18 of "Once Upon a Time" season 5 will be titled "Ruby Slippers" and the aforementioned characters will all appear there.

"Once Upon a Time" season 5 will be back on ABC on March 6 with an episode titled "Souls of the Departed."
