Dorothy Gale, the "iconic, pig-tailed girl from Kansas" will return as a "brave warrior for good" in the upcoming episode of the ABC hit series "Once Upon a Time."

TV Line reports that the recurring character will be played by "Chicago Fire" actress Teri Reeves. Dorothy was last seen in season 3's episode 20 titled "Kansas," where she was played by Matreya Scarrwener. This time, though, viewers will see a grown-up Dorothy, which Reeves is expected to give life to. The report further teases that she will return to reclaim Oz from Zelena/Wicked Witch of the West (Rebecca Mader). The meeting between the two will take place midway through the second half of season 5, in episode 16.

During the midseason finale episode, Regina Mills/Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) kicked out Zelena of Storybrooke and sent her half-sister back to Oz. Zelena told Regina that she wanted her baby daughter to be as wicked as her and she would want Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) to be her teacher. Regina got angry and transported her to the other world. Because of this, Zelena will be harboring a grudge against her sibling. This conflict will reportedly be one of the storylines that will be in focus for season 5B.

Executive producer Edward Kitsis teased in an interview with ET Online that the "Once Upon a Time" fans will see more of the sisters in the second half episodes. He said that the pair, together with Robin Hood and the baby, will continue to play a major role in the ABC series.

"There's going to be more with her [Regina] and Robin Hood, and we have not seen the last of Zelena," he shared.

"Once Upon a Time" Season 5 will return with episode 12 titled "Souls of the Departed" on March 6, 2016 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
