The magic carpet is expected to fly over Storybrooke in the sixth season of "Once Upon a Time," if speculations turn out to be true.

TVLine's Ausiello corrected a previous post from the publication claiming that the Middle Eastern characters who will be added in the upcoming season 6 will be Sinbad and Scheherazade.

The male character is described as "a 30something Middle Eastern/Arabic or Northern African male to play a roguishly charming and quick-witted hero who knows the power of kindness but as of late has lost faith in his ability to lead his people," while the female addition will be seen as "a regal Middle Eastern/Arabic beauty who never backs down from a good fight and can go toe-to-toe with even the toughest adversaries."

The new report claims that the character descriptions might be referring to fairy tale characters Aladdin and Jasmine instead. However, ABC has yet to confirm if the characters from the 1992 film will join the heroes of Storybrooke in the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, YVRShoots posted a series of photos taken on the set of "Once Upon a Time" season 6 showing that Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) will battle a hooded figure in the streets of Storybrooke. The figure seems to be the Dark One. Does it mean that Emma will be facing the Dark One which almost consumed her in season 5? Or will she face a different entity?

In other news, Entertainment Weekly reported that "24" alum Giles Matthey has been tapped to portray the role of Morpheus, the Greek mythology's god of dreams. According to the character description, the character is "equally good at reading people as he is at hiding his own agenda." He will also guide people to the world of dreams in the upcoming season.

"Once Upon a Time" season 6 premieres on Sunday, Sept. 25, on ABC.
