'One Punch Man' season 2 to explain Saitama and Blast's backstory
Being a hero is tiring work. For some, the title of it and its responsibilities is a dream. But when one of them trains like an average person to become the strongest person in the world, being a hero is a mere hobby. "One Punch Man" features a hero just for laughs named Saitama and his journey to finding a worthy opponent. Fortunately, his story won't stop for one season as the hit Japanese anime series has reportedly started developing One Punch Man" season 2.
Mobipicker got a source that said that "One Punch Man" season 2 will air this November. The production reportedly started earlier this year but details have been scarce about what the next season will feature. Regardless, fans are overjoyed to hear that they will be seeing more of the much-loved, bald hero with the most passive face any anime has seen.
According to Inverse, fans have managed to come up with different and interesting theories with the following as the top three: "One Punch Man" season 2 will finally explain more of Saitama's origins, Blast's identity will be explained, and that Saitama will die to fight God. Although the last one seems drastic, with the current status of "One Punch Man," it does seem like a likely storyline and will probably be the end of the series if does come to that.
Other rumors about "One Punch Man" season 2 include that it will air 12 episodes and that the production team will soon release some details about the anime series. Meanwhile, fans would do well to repeat the first season while waiting, if they haven't already.
"One Punch Man" is a story about a man with the most powerful punch the world has seen. Although he did reveal that he became that strong through seemingly normal means like doing 100 push ups, sit ups and squats while also running 10 kilometers, it seems that there's more to his background than that.
"One Punch Man" is also known for its parodies and satires while also inserting some philosophical concepts wherever appropriate. Saitama has emphasized again and again that being the strongest man means nothing but boredom.
"One Punch Man" season 1 is available for streaming online.
