Last month, One Direction announced that they are taking a one-year hiatus to focus on solo projects. While there has been a lot of speculations about what's in the cards for Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne, there have been very few rumors about what Niall Horan will be up to during the band's temporary break. But some former boyband members have expressed interest in working with the 22-year-old singer. Westlife's Shane Fillan and Brian McFadden have both said that they would like to write songs with Horan during the break. 

In separate interviews, Fillan and McFadden have both said that they can definitely see themselves working with the One Direction member. In an interview with the Irish Mirror, McFadden said that he would love to write a song with Horan, who is a longtime friend of his. 

"I am sure Niall is going to make a record — someone said that he is going to do TV but he has to make a record," said McFadden. "And I would definitely love to write for him, if he wants to write with me I would have no problem writing for him." 

Since leaving Westlife, McFadden has established a successful career in the U.K. as the host of "Who's Doing the Dishes" and he is also set to release a new single later this week. 

Meanwhile, according to Sugarscape, Fillan told the Daily Star that he is sure that Horan would do more music during the band's yearlong break. 

"Niall will do music [after the One Direction break], he is very talented. If it came to song writing of course I would work with him," Fillan said. 

It was reported that One Direction will finish their world tour before taking a break in March 2016. They are also rumored to be in talks to perform at Super Bowl before they go on a hiatus.
