One effective way to help you let go of the problems that hinder you

We all face problems in life. We have problems with our character, our sin how people treat us, paying the bills, and all the things that are beyond our power to control.

Some of us struggle with these more than others but whatever the problem is, it is sure to cause some stress, pain or discomfort, and hinder us from living the life we desire to live.

Thankfully, God is here to help us in whatever predicament we find ourselves in. No matter what we face, we can come to Him for guidance, wisdom, even strength and supernatural help, to face our problems.

Psalm 55:22 tells us,

"Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved."

Why we can't shake our problems off

Many of us, after running to God for help, continue drowning in our personal issues. We feel like we're swimming in an ocean of problems with no one to help, and with no hope in sight.

Because of this, we think and feel like we can't do anything. Truth is, friends, we will feel like that at times when the only thing we're concerned about is ourselves.

Yes, we're like that when we're full of ourselves.

When we're focused only on ourselves, how we feel, how needy and pitiful we are, we'll surely see nothing but our problems and predicaments - and we'll feel even worse!

When we can't see beyond ourselves, beyond our comfort, beyond our needs, we can't see hope and a better day ahead of us.

After all, we fallen people and we often don't have the ability to solve these issues without God's help.

Seeing beyond ourselves

Friends, there's a way for us to lose sight of our problems.

No, this doesn't mean ignoring them and convincing ourselves that they don't exist. They do exist, but we must not allow ourselves to become small and preoccupied with our own selves only. We've got to see beyond ourselves.

We've got to see God's will for us: to be His children shining in this dark world for His glory. Isaiah 60:1 tells us that because Christ has shined on us, we ought to shine His light for others too:

"Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you."

Yes, we've got to think of serving God by doing what He commands us to do: to preach the Gospel to others. Jesus commanded us in Mark 16:15-18,

"And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.""

We must never lose sight of the fact and truth that God created all of to be in a relationship with each other, and this relationship is one where Christ is preached, God is glorified, and the Holy Spirit is obeyed.

Looking at the predicaments of others, and coming to their aid with the love of God will allow us to live the life God wants for us, problems and all.

Romans 14:7-8 tells us,

"For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's."
