A "pivotal occurrence" is reportedly awaiting Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates, but the question is just what this mysterious event could be?

In chapter 800 of "One Piece," Luffy was shown refusing the offer of the pirates he and his crew have bested. They wanted to serve Luffy, but it was something he said he did not want.

Luffy said that his decision to refuse them was based more on his belief that pirates should have the freedom to choose their own paths. However, even after his refusal, they still chose to serve Luffy, saying it is their own decision to make.

The chapter closes with a celebration, as Luffy and his ever growing group of friends toast their triumph over the villainous Doflamingo.

This is where the story arc draws to a close, but before it does, a promise is made that there will soon be a "pivotal occurrence" that could very well affect Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates, according to Design and Trend.

It's unclear for now what this possible challenge looming over the horizon could be, but what is clear is that Luffy will have more allies willing to help his cause if and when trouble does begin to brew.

The Straw Hat Pirates already have the support of the seven powerful pirate captains and their respective armies, and on top of that, they have also gained another ally.

According to Movie News Guide, it would seem as though Admiral Fujitora has also expressed his support to Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates after he too helped repel the last ditch effort of Doflamingo's men.

With the growing group of friends who have now thrown their support behind Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates, the next challenge could very well involve something that may require all of their efforts combined to simply overcome.
