Although the current, action-packed arc is taking a break this week, fans and observers continue to float theories on what will become of Luffy and his crew in the ongoing pirate manga "One Piece."

Last week's chapter shed light on what seemingly was the Mink tribe's attempt to save a friend. Faced with the danger of their whole tribe being massacred and Zou island reduced to rubble, the Mink tribe continued to deny the location of Raizou. However, chapter 816 revealed that Raizou was on Zou island the whole time, and the Mink tribe is trying to hide the location of the ninja to protect their friend.

According to Movie News Guide, Kaido's troops laying siege to Zou island in search of Raizou is only to preempt the Mink tribe making contact with Wano country. The industry follower surmised that Raizou was sent by Wano country to get help from the Mink tribe, known to be fierce warriors. Allegedly, Kaido wanted to invade Wano country for reasons still unclear but may prove integral to the story.

Meanwhile, Luffy is preparing to run after Sanji, as the latter is finding his way to Big Mom, reportedly to marry into the Charlotte family. Luffy made up his mind to go after Sanji and is even prepared to go to battle against Big Mom, after hearing from Pekoms that once Sanji marries into the Yonko's family, he will cease to be a crew for the Straw Hat Pirates.

How Luffy will tackle this problem is still unclear. However, he may get help from Trafalgar Law and his crew in the upcoming fight against Big Mom, seeing as they have a standing alliance against Kaido, another Yonko. What will likely happen is that their original objective, the downfall of Kaido, will be sidetracked a little bit as Luffy will try to battle Big Mom's crew to rescue Sanji with the help of Law and his associates.

"One Piece" will return for chapter 817 next week after a brief hiatus.
