Bandai Namco announced yet another video game based on the animated series "One Piece." The open-world video game, "One Piece: World Seeker," will be released in 2018.

The game was introduced last week during the Jump Festa 2018 convention in Japan, bu Bandai Namco has not given any release date so far. Bandai revealed the game with an announcement trailer. The trailer features the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, Monkey D. Luffy, in an open-world of pirates and marines. Players get to control Luffy across the vast world with the help of his Gomu Gomu no Mi devil fruit.

The trailer features Luffy able to get from one place to another by extending his hand and grabbing onto infrastructures and trees. His movement somehow resembles Spider-Man. The teaser video also shows a little combat gameplay that puts Luffy against other pirates and marines. Other members of the Straw Hat crew are not in the video.

The game will be developed by Ganbarion and will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. There are no further updates if the game will be available for the Nintendo Switch.

The announcement trailer received great reactions from gamers.

World Seeker is not the only "One Piece-" inspired video game to come out in 2018. Bandai Namco is also set to release the virtual reality video game "One Piece Grand Cruise" next year.

The announcement for "One Piece: World Seeker" was not the only "One Piece" highlight during the Jump Festa. Attendees of the convention got to see a big statue of Luffy in Fourth Gear mode preparing to launch an attack. Shonen Jump posted a picture of the statue on Twitter and captioned it with, "Luffy's gear four looks even more impressive in three dimensions. The pic doesn't quite capture the impact or scale."
