While there has been no official statement for the release date of the second season for hit anime "One Punch Man," there has been a huge buzz online that it could happen as early as this month or before Halloween.

According to a report by iTech Post, there is a huge possibility that the release of the show's sophomore season could happen by September or October, with the latest being November. Madhouse Entertainment has yet to confirm these rumors, though.

Meanwhile, there are reports circulating that Madhouse is waiting for more chapters of the manga to be released as each episode of the anime usually goes through several chapters of the source material.

As for the storyline, there have been speculations that Saitama will lose some of his powers after defeating Lord Boros last season. According to reports, this will be a big challenge to the hero as he is set to face off powerful rival Amai Mask but his lack of power could be a major hurdle to his victory.

This will also pose a problem because it could  make him a target of nefarious elements. Innocent civilians will be caught in the crossfire, especially if Saitama can not defend the people from danger.

Aside from Amai Mask, it has also been rumored that Saitama could finally give in and fight his former comrade and loyal ally Genos, who has repeatedly asked his master for a challenge.

However, it has been said that Saitama's biggest opponent for the upcoming season is Garou, who is the only one who can withstand the strength of his punches. The possibility of Garou being the major villain for Season 2 is strong seeing as he uses his strength for evil. His strength is also one of the reasons that he will be a good match for the power of Saitama.
