The second season of "One Punch Man" could be released as early as this December to the potential delight of fans everywhere.

"One Punch Man" has been a smash hit since its debut.

In the show, fans are able to witness the usually easygoing and often indifferent Saitama unleash an array of attacks and moves that can rival many of the strongest protagonists in the anime world.

The unique appeal of Saitama himself has helped the show amass a significant fan following, making it easy to understand why so many people are looking forward to its sophomore season.

Unfortunately, even though the second season of the anime could make its debut in December, that scenario is in no way guaranteed.

Currently, the notion that the second season of "One Punch Man" could premiere in 2016 stems mainly from rumors as opposed to actual fact.

As of now, all fans really have to go by is a Twitter message from show creator Murata Yusuke, saying that is he working hard to get a second season done. As much as Murata may work on the second season, there's still a limit to what he can pull off, considering how time-consuming it can be to create an entire season's worth of episodes.

Murata has also released frequent tweets about the show on his account, so it's easy to see that "One Punch Man" remains as one of his primary projects.

Still, fans remain hopeful that the anime will be back sooner rather than later, and there are even rumors floating around that are giving fans some idea of what they can expect from the sophomore offering.

According to some rumors, the upcoming season of the anime will pick up exactly where the last episode left off. If proven true, then fans might want to watch the first season of the anime again prior to the debut of the next offering.

According to The BitBag, season 2 might also feature some encounters involving Saitama and a new adversary in the form of Kamen Amai Mask.

Season 2 might also feature numerous other foes for Saitama to take down, although fans will have to wait to find out more about them.

More news about the second season of "One Punch Man" should be made available in the months ahead.
