To be on par with the other top-of-the-line handsets around, OnePlus' flagship will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, which is the very same unit powering up most flagships in the field such as the HTC One M9 and the Sony Xperia Z4.

However, with reports about the CPU's overheating issues, the company took measures in making sure that the OnePlus 2 will not experience the same problems. The tech firm stated in a blog post that the new smartphone will use version 2.1 of the processor, to literally keep its cool.

Among the tweaks done on the processor is that its eight cores will be clocked in at 1.8 GHz instead of 2.0 GHz "for cooler temperatures." Thermal gel and graphite will also be integrated into the processor for less heat. This change makes OnePlus assured in the success of the OnePlus 2.

"We're confident in our products, and we were careful to only choose components that are fit for the successor of the Flagship Killer," the company said in the blog post.

This is a strong indication that the One Plus 2 is aiming to be another feat for its manufacturer, which of course comes literally with a price.

The tech firm revealed that the value of the device will "certainly be higher than $322" mainly because of the new processor, not to mention the special modifications, onboard. However, no specific price was mentioned. GSM Arena surmises that the price tag could go as high as $349 or even $399.

OnePlus also made time to quash negative rumors about the OnePlus and urges users to "just wait and see" before making conclusions about the OnePlus 2. It seems, however, that the company is not ready to disclose the device's release date just yet.
