There is still no official announcement from OnePlus, yet the next flagship seems to be cropping up everywhere. Leaks on the new OnePlus 3 have surfaced anew, highlighting design changes like a sleeker body profile as well as a USB Type-C port.

Recently, real-life images of the OnePlus 3 were supposedly published online. Although there is no guarantee that the prototype is the OnePlus 3, the device itself matches earlier rumored design and build for the next OnePlus flagship. In the images, the body itself is showcased, as well as the USB Type-C port beside the 3.5mm audio jack at the bottom of the device.

Meanwhile, noted tipster Evan Blass has tweeted what appears to be a leaked press render of the new OnePlus 3, even apparently confirming some specs for the upcoming flagship. Reportedly, the new OnePlus flagship will switch over to an AMOLED display, an upgrade from the IPS LCD screen panels of the original OnePlus One and the current-gen OnePlus 2. In addition, Blass mentioned that the OnePlus 3 will have a 3,000 mAh battery.

Although the battery capacity is smaller than its predecessors (the OnePlus 2 has a 3,300 mAh battery, while the OnePlus One has a 3,100 mAh battery), the switch to an AMOLED display complements the downward trend, since the technology offers better power management for its screens.

Under the hood, OnePlus has yet to confirm the upgrades that the upcoming flagship will get. Since the OnePlus iterations are said to be "flagship killers," offering top-tier specs at budget-friendly prices, it can be expected that the OnePlus 3 will feature a Snapdragon 820 processor, at least 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of onboard storage. The leaked photos are also consistent with a fingerprint scanner on the front, and the raised camera setup on the back is also expected to come with feature upgrades.
