OnePlus may not be one of those big name manufacturers in the smartphone industry, but the Chinese brand has been turning a lot of heads as of late. To recall, the company released a new flagship device several months back in the form of the OnePlus 3, and now it pulled off another surprise by following it up with an update of the said device. This time, the successor to the OnePlus 3 is called the OnePlus 3T.

According to Anandtech, the new smartphone is actually just a minor update to the OnePlus 3 and not really a complete overhaul. But that's a very easy observation to make based on the name of the device. Nevertheless, there still are significant hardware upgrades that any fan of this brand will deem as more than enough reason to make the purchase.

The most important update of all is the change in processor, as the previously launched OnePlus 3 came equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, while the OnePlus 3T has the faster and more powerful Snapdragon 821 chipset. As for the random access memory (RAM), both devices are carrying 6 GB. Aside from the faster processor, the manufacturer also made it a point to upgrade the battery from 3,000 mAh to 3,400 mAh; a slight upgrade but still a very important one.

Design-wise, there's very little change and that's a good thing actually considering that the thin frame and case, coupled with the laid-back design of the OnePlus 3 flagship phone is more than enough to label the device as attractive.

More on the specs, the OnePlus 3T comes with an optic AMOLED capacitive touchscreen capable of showcasing 16 million colors and a full high-definition resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. There are two options for internal storage — a 64 GB version and a larger 128 GB model. The phone comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box.
