The OnePlus 6 is scheduled to be released next year, but rumors about the upcoming device are already starting to spread. The most noteworthy of these is that the device will reportedly copy the iPhone X's Face Recognition features.

This is according to a "tipster" that revealed the details to Android Marvel. Rumors said that OnePlus 6 will improve upon the already impressive Face Recognition technology of the OnePlus 5T. Users may remember that the 5T featured a Face Unlock feature similar to the iPhone X's, but the earlier turned out to be reportedly much faster than Apple's FaceID.

However, Face Unlock only used recognition exclusively for unlocking the phone. It did not have all the features the Face ID had, like being able to authorize payments via face scanning.

It could be that the OnePlus 6 will finally improve Face Unlock to include more advanced features like payment authorization.

OnePlus 6 will also reportedly have similar hardware with the iPhone X, like featuring an infrared 3D front camera.

One thing that the OnePlus 6 will not be featuring is the iPhone notch because it will reportedly feature a full strip for the top bezel. This is where all the cameras and sensors will be located.

Such rumors led many to believe that the OnePlus 6 will be copying more features from the iPhone. This was not the first time that the company was accused of copying design ideas from Apple, either.

First, the OnePlus 5 sported a rear panel that was very similar to the iPhone 7. Not long after that, the OnePlus 5T had an "all-face" design; a bezel-less front panel reminiscent of the iPhone X. Plus, it also had the aforementioned Face Unlock feature said to be an imitation of Face ID.

OnePlus, in its defense, said that they tried other designs for the mentioned phones. However, they stuck with the iPhone-like designs in the final product because it was the most convenient.
